Movies or television are very common relaxation for many people. People love to watch movies or television on evening or weekend and spend a good time with their families or friends. Movies or television have advantages and disadvantages which will affect people’s actions. One of the good influence of movies or television is giving awareness to people. For example, when I watched a documentary about global warming, it gave me a big impact that how global warming effects not only to the environment but also to people and animals. After I watched it, I started to choose better things that protect the environment. In addition, movies or television have an educational aspect. Through watching movies or television, people can be educated unconsciously. People can get a new piece of knowledge from it so that people can be aware of things that they were not before. This is a good example to show a preferable influence that movies or television give to people’s behaviors. On the other hand, television or movies can influence people’s behaviors in a bad way. It is often said that violent scenes can cause the problem to young people because they cannot distinguish from reality to fiction. When young people watch violent scenes on the television, these images strongly remain their memories and they tend to do the same behaviors that took in the movies or television without thinking. Violent is not acceptable in the real world so that their parents need to teach their children well. Moreover, people can waste their time with television or movies for hours. Not all the TV programs or movies are good for people. For example, comedy movie is enjoyable and funny so that many people can watch it for a long time, but it can take precious time from people. In conclusion, movies or television can influence people’s action both in a good and bad way. It is people’s choice that how they watch or what they watch so that people need to be smart and educated enough to pick up a right program for them.
