A theory I have a theory about the writings here in Italki. If you write something, your corrections will depend on your level and how accurate it will be. What I'm saying is if your level is low and make many mistakes, you will receive more than one correction, on the other hand, if your level is high and the number of your mistakes are low, there is a possibility that nobody corrects it. Well, this is just simple observation. However, there are so many people who are not fluent in their own language because they are not capable of to notice some mistakes, due to the lack of knowledge of their mother tongue. So, these people "don't like" to correct those notebook entries who are accurate or well written because there is not "many errors" to correct or simply they are not aware of.

I have a theory about the writings here in Italki. If you write something, your corrections will depend on your level and how accurate it will be. What I'm saying is if your level is low and make many mistakes, you will receive more than one correction, on the other hand, if your level is high and the number of your mistakes are low, there is a possibility that nobody corrects it. Well, this is just simple observation. I saw this notebook entry about an hour ago, but couldn't correct it until now. For me, I like correcting notebook entries when I understand what they mean to say, even if the writer is good at writing English or Spanish and they make only a few mistakes. I don't often get to correct them because someone else usually beats me to it, and I don't see the point in making another correction. Also, if I don't understand the notebook entry, I won't correct it because I don't know what the writer wants to say. Anyway, I was so surprised to see this entry had no corrections, so that is why I came to correct it. :)

I personally choose to correct short and interesting notebook entries rather than the long boring ones.

I mostly agree. Short simple texts with obvious errors will be corrected by well-meaning native speakers, by some overconfident well-meaning non-native speakers (who introduce mistakes), and by a small number of teachers who participate in the forums. As a teacher, I gladly spend five minutes to edit a short text (while drinking coffee and browsing italki). Because of the bigger effort (15-30 minutes), I usually ignore a long text unless the topic is personally interesting. I sometimes comment that they should post the text in short sections to encourage readers to read and edit the text. I also ignore commercial texts.

That's also true... Maybe somebody should do a research on this topic.

While I agree to some extent with your theory, I would also say that some people post entries, usually about their work or profession, that are far too complicated for anyone who is not knowledgeable about that specific topic. I often wonder if they post entries to boost their ego rather than worry about the actual correctness of their text.
