Is The Tango Means Lewd In Your Country? I love dance from a child. My Mum wanted to sned me to the major dancing school but gave up due to my face is too huge!(Major dancers always got palm face巴掌脸) So my dance life just ended befor it start. After I grew up,alwasys want to go to a dance studio to learn some social dancing, like Latin,cha-cha,Tango. But never came ture for various reasons. One day I was chatting with a potential custom who from Argentina, about our countries, like football, tango etc. Then he asked me : do you like tango? It's sexy and **(that word I didn't know the meaning). I though tango is the quintessence of Argentina and it's a kind of fancy dance in China and I realy do like it. So I should say yes. Then I answered: Yes! I love Tango so much!! Later I found out that word from dictionary,it means "lewd, lascivious etc',and I answered Yes!I love the (lewd) Tango so much!So ashamed! Never told with him anymore from that time. I tought he must be pulling my leg untill yesterday an American friend said the same thing. Now I am confusing, the Tango really means lewd in Western countries?

Is The Tango Means Lewd In Your Country?

I love to dance from since I was a child. My Mum1 mom wanted to sned send me to the a major dancing school but gave up due to was rejected as my face is too broad huge! (Major Principal dancers always got has this petite look palm face  (巴掌脸).  So my dance life just ended before it even got started.

After I grew up,As an adult, I alwasys always had desired want to go to a dance studio to learn some social ballroom Latin dance  dancing, like Latin, the Cha-Cha and theTango but never came to fruition due to. But never came ture for various reasons.

One day as I was chatting with a potential customer who from Argentina about our countries and their national past time like football, tango etc, whenThen he asked, me :

"Do you like the Tango?  It's sexy and ???"  and **(I don't remember the that word he used because I didn't know the meaning). I thought that the Tango2 is the quintessence of Argentina and it's a kind of fancy dance in China.  and I realy do like it.  So I should say yes. Then I answered:

"Yes! I love Tango so very much!!!" 3

Later I found out that word from dictionary, it means lewd and lascivious etc. and I had answered, "Yes!I love the lewd Tango so very much!I am so ashamed! Never told with him anymore from that time From that time onwards, I dare not mention anything about the Tango with him anymore 3.

I thought he must be pulling my leg untill yesterday when an American friend said the same thing.

Now I am confusedconfusing.  Is the Tango really means lewd in Western countries?

The Tango is a very sensual dance.  It is one of the compulsory dance in any ballroom competition.  It can be viewed as lewd because of cultural differences.  China was one of those country in the old days.  It is still now considered in all Muslim countries.  Remember once upon a time even the gyrating hips of Elvis Preseley was considered lewd.  To me, the Tango is not lewd but very sensual.  No more that those belly dances in Middle East.  The only difference that it is not considered lewd in those countries is because the absence of the man dancing with her!  Talk about hypocrisy.

1.  Mummy or mum is used by kids to address one's mother.  Since you are an adult, it is more proper to use "mother" when writing in general to other people.  However, you can use mom; a more affectionate term and can be used by adults in this sense.  As usual, there is one exception.  Mum is used as the term when addressed to the Queen of England by her staff to show affection.

2.  When referring to the dance, Tango is capitalized.  As a verb, it does need capitalization.  Another example is "polish".  When you capitalize it it means the people in Poland, though not in the same logic as tango.  Also "polish" is the only word in the English language that changes its sound depending whether it is capitalized or not.

3. Either you use one or 3 exclamation marks.

4. I am guessing here.  I don't know if you never talk with him anymore (which you can't since he is your customer) or that you never broached on the subject again.

Sexy does not mean lewd. However this kind of sensous dance to many traditional Chinese is lewd because 男女授受不親成何体統.
