My hometown is Kandy and whole of my life I lived in kandy. It is situated in the central province of Sri Lanka and it's surrounded by beautiful hills. The sacred Dalada Maligawa and other four Dewalas, the kandy lake and the museum are some of the interesting places in my hometown. The last king of Sri Lanka, King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe lived in Kandy and it's last kingdom of Sri Lanka. The colourful perahera which is celebrated annually in here has attract Sri Lankans and foreigners too. This is one of the reasons that's why Kandy is one of the most popular cities among the people. The well known Peradeniya Botanical garden and the university are located very close to the Kandy. The longest river in Sri Lanka flows through this beautiful city.
