“记得”和“记住”有什么不一样?

1.in terms of meaning:
“记得”means "bring someone or something out of one's mind"
“记住”means "remain something or someone in one's mind and insure it is not forgotten"
sometimes they can replace with each other. sometimes can not.Try to feel the distinction by examples
e.g.我记得他的名字。(I remember his name.)or 我记住了他的名字(I kept his name in my mind.)
e.g.你要记住(记得)走得时候关窗。(both ok)
e.g.老师让我们记住这个公式。(can't use 记得)(The teacher asked us to put this formula)
e.g.我记得你有个姐姐。(can't use 记住)(I remembered that you have a sister.)
2.in terms of grammar:
both 记得 and 记住 can be followed by a noun,pronoun,or another verb-phrase.And 记得 can be followed by a accusatival clause.whereas 记住 can not.
e.g.我记得你以前去过北京。(记住 can not be used)
e.g.他记得睡觉前要打电话给女朋友。(记住 can not be used)

They both mean ' to remember' but “记住" could also mean 'to bear in mind' or 'to learn by heart'.
记得
means to remember , to call back to mind , to keep in memory:
越是老八辈子的事,老年人记得越清楚。
Yuè shì lǎo bābèizi de shì,lǎoniánrén jì de yuè qīngchu.
The more remote things are, the more clearly old folks can remember them
记住
means to remember; learn by heart; bear in mind;memorize
你千万要记住老师的话。
Nǐ qiānwàn yào jìzhù lǎoshī de huà.
Be sure to remember what the teacher said.

“记得”means some memory comes out from your mind, "记住"means to put something into your mind

for example I remember you 我记得你
记住 means learn by heart memorize
for example Please memorize all the words he said
请记住他说的每句话。

都是已经记在脑子里,但是时间段不一样。
比如:你来了。你来的时候,我记住了。
你走了以后,我记得你来过。
记住:动作发生后或者同时,记忆下来。
记得:动作发生后很长时间,回忆起来。
总结: 记得在记住之后,记得更类似于“回忆起”
