I would like to keep my old memories because they define who I am, rather than getting new memories and forget who I am and those I care about. But of course, this would still be a big loss - by not getting new memories you'll be unable to learn and grow. It's a loss-loss situation.

What do you mean 'never able to make new ones'? You mean a very short memory loss thing, so they are still in the make,but forgotten in the process?

Aside from freak accidents of that sort, I would lose all my old memories because by then I won't know who I am. Not being able to make new ones would be bad because I know how sad it would be.
