Well, there IS a little difference, though it's very small.
For example, I'd give you an "Einführung" in a new topic, or your new job.
As for "Einleitung", e.g. a text can have an "Einleitung".

The "Duden" (German-German dictionary which you probably know) lists "Einleitung" and "Einfuehrung" as synonyms: http://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/Einleitung
Both can be translated as "introduction".
