In the follwing sentence what does toori ni imply? 外国語だと、なかなか思ったとおりに話すことができない。
I am looking for native speakers of Japanese to help me pass the N3 Jlpt
next year, unfortunately my text books are written in Japanese only.
If you can help i'd appreciate it.

外国語だと、なかなか思ったとおりに話すことができない。= I cannot express myself (speak) quite as well as I expected in foreign languages.

The sentence means "I can hardly speak just as I think in foreign language."
「なかなか ~ ない」 = In this sentence, "hardly"

思ったとおりに = just as I thought
そのとおり = that's right
言うとおり = as I say
