The use of 'gucken'
Guten tag! If someone uses the word 'gucken' does this have a creepy meaning? Isn't it nicer to use a different German word for 'looking'?

The word "gucken" doesn´t have a creepy meaning, in fact, this is a very useful word which we often use in our daily life:
Guck doch mal!
Ich gucke mir das gleich mal an.
Kannst du dir das mal angucken?
But if you dislike this word, you can choose a synonym:
Schau doch mal!
Ich schaue mir das gleich mal an.
Kannst du dir das mal anschauen?
Ich gucke mir einen Film an. (angucken)
Ich schaue mir einen Film an. (anschauen)
Ich sehe mir einen Film an. (ansehen)
(I´m watching a movie.)

Hello there Madam,
Well, "gucken" means watching, looking, sometimes it can also mean seeing.
I think so it could be also used as "beobachten" in the same usage. :)
Hope it helped you.
