I have been to Mexico in the last year. Is it correct?
Hi everyone. I saw this sentence on a website but didn`t find the expression " in the last year". Is this correct?
I have been to Mexico in the last year.
meaning: I have been to Mexico at least once at some point between 365 days ago and now.

Past perfect tense verbs are best here. Your sentence is correct.
more conversational can be "I have been to Mexico last yar. I was in Mexico last year." . Not perfect, but available in conversation English.

Same as above, just dropped "in the", it's a bit redundant.
