Hay/estan/esta Could you please recommended me some good rules/links or explain how to use this words? I'm totally confused. Thank you! Ooops, I forgot about "ser". "Hay/esta/estan/ser (Es/son)"

Well.. ser/estar is one of the hardest things in spanish. Ser is used to describe things. Ex: Soy chileno, soy blanco, soy joven, soy estudiante, etc. For everything else, estar. Ex: Estoy cansado, estoy de vacaciones, estoy en Roma, estoy con mi familia, etc. Esta: This Está: he/she/it is. This one comes from the verb "estar", explained before. Hay: There is / There are. Hope its clear. If you have doubts, dont hesitate and write to me.

Hay: There is a pen on the table - Hay un bolígrafo en la mesa Estan: They are in the car - Ellos estan en el coche and do you mean ESTA or ESTÁ, well doesn't matter, I can make an example for both: Esta: This is my mother - Esta es mi madre Está: My mother is waiting or My mother is on the bus - Mi madre está esperando o mi madre está en el autobús
