Either/neither. I need to know if these sentences are right:
"I can't play the piano nor the guitar, either."
"I can't play the piano and the guitar, neither."
Which is the most appropriate?
Thanks :)

Best would be ''I can't play either the piano or the guitar." Alternatively, "I can play neither the piano nor the guitar." It is generally not considered good written English to leave "either" or "neither" at the end of a sentence. The exception when speaking English would be something like:
A: I don't like jazz.
B: Me, neither.
Hope this helps. Rick

Iana (puedo te llama Iana?) La respuesta de Nana es la correcta. ¡No sé qué planeta viven las otras dos personas, pero es una donde el inglés no se habla bien!
The rule is either... or...
and neither... nor....
But best place to get a full explanation, because the use varies a lot in meaning, is here
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/either
Best of luck. ¿Estoy correcto en piensando que estás aprendiendo un curso inglés y éste es parte de su preparación?

NB: we use Either ... or... to indicate choice
and Neither .... nor ... means not one and not the other
you can say:
* i cant play neither the piano nor the guitar (or)
* neither the piano nor the guitar i can play (for the 1st sentence)
2nd one:
* either the piano or the guitar i cant play (or)
* i cant play either the piano or the guitar

yea, you can't put "neither/either" at the end. It doesn't sound right. But it is correct to say "i can't play either the piano or the guitar." and "i can't play neither the piano and guitar." just watch out for the change in the conjunctions 'and/or' when you use 'neither/either'. hope this helps!
