Could you please tell me, what's the main difference between 見る、観る、視る、看る、診る?? Are all of them used in modern Japanese language? Can all of them be written with 見る?

Yes, they are commonly used. But you can use 見る in most cases and if you want to convey some additional nuance, you can use the different kanji as an option. 観 is used for observation, sightseeing and fortune-telling. 視 is used for monitoring, overseeing and watching. 看 is used when helping someone out. 診 is used for medical examinations.
