Yes I agree, teachers are underpaid all over the world. Australian teachers often go on strike for more pay. That is why we tutor students in our spare time.

Here in Pakistan condition is little different, teachers who are working under government institutes are getting huge amount of salaries. Even more than engineers. But in private sectors and NGO running school, the situation is very bad. They pay even less than a worker earn here. But as a whole Teaching is a very successful profession here.

Fully agree! The amount differs from region to region but still it`s not enough. As far as I know an average salary is not 10--12 thousands but less and my co-workers do a lot of extra work.

German teachers in Germany get not really paid.. we receive a little tip. If you teach german as a foreign language and you are not married you are lost. :(

Well,As a single yeah I think it's enough to live by it..however I like this job so much :P
