When do you use "bolt by"?

Bolt has a few meanings, but one one of the verb meanings is "to run very quickly". An old type of arrow was called a bolt - thus the idea of fast movement.
Without context, I'd guess "bolt by" means "to run past, very quickly".

Could you provide a little more context?
"Bolt by" alone does not make much sense, as far as I know ;)
