Many people build their English vocabulary through a blend of methods — by taking English classes, reading books, watching movies in English, and studying English with English language software. Playing word and vocabulary games is a valuable part of learning English. There are thousands of vocabulary words in our vocabulary lists.
May I suggest that you try www. vocabulary.co.il
You can also try www.memrise.com
It has free online word Games which are specifically designed to build vocabulary skills and to motivate people to learn through fun practice in spelling, phonics, and vocabulary.

Hi Barbara,
For enriching vocabulary, nothing beats reading. Read everything and anything! Free ebooks, online magazines and newspapers, blog posts in your areas of interest. Look up all the words you don't know or are unsure of and WRITE THEM DOWN or, better still, enter them into a spaced-repetition (SRS) learning program like Anki. http://ankisrs.net/
You can also create your own flashcard sets and regularly test yourself at http://quizlet.com
Quizlet is one of the best langage learning resources I have ever found online.
You could also get hold of a file of English words listed by frequency. http://ucrel.lancs.ac.uk/bncfreq/flists.html
Enter these into your SRS application and you'll be amazed at the speed of your progress. This is how I am learning Serbian and also how I learned Finnish at university.
Hope this helps,
Rog

Charles Dickens is always a joy for the English language lover.
Also Jane Austen
Perhaps Virginia Woolf for something a little harder, but just as good.
