Someone can give me examples of phrases with the word "slew" ?
I just don't understand what this means

Honestly, as a native English speaker, I never knew that "slew" was a verb meaning "to slide violently." Hardly anyone ever uses it that way.
The context in which I most often hear "slew" used means "a large number of something."
Example:
"There was a slew of birds flying above me."
It means there were a lot of birds.
"A slew of people lined up for tickets."
It means there were many people.
There's also an archaic use of "slew" that isn't used today, which is the past tense of "slay" (meaning "to kill").
Example:
"Saint George slew the dragon."
It means "Saint George killed the dragon."

I have never heard of those definitions above. I am from the US and we use the word "slew" to mean a lot of something. For example,
"He had a slew of homework to do" - meaning a lot of homework. It is not a very common word...

Slew- to turn or slide violently
Examples: "I was about to slew."
"You were slewing."
"That car is slewing."
"I thought I was about to slew."
"You slewed."
***This is not a common term in the United States so someone people may not know what you are talking about xD

to slew = to turn and move suddenly and quickly in a particular direction, or to make something move in this way
examples :
- The car hit a patch of ice and slewed around violently.
- He slewed the van to the left to avoid the dog.
