Dream of and dream about? Dream about something/somebody : this is what someone dreamt during his/her sleep Dream of something/somebody: this is what that someone aspires to be or that someone hopes for or his/her goal. are they correct my definitions? Thank you!

Your differences are not grammatical - both 'dream of' and 'dream about' are used interchangeably. They mean the same thing. You are correct, however, that 'dream of' would be used more to describe some aspiration, whereas 'dream about' tends to be used to describe a dream while sleeping. However, you could switch them in either use and still be correct.
