Answer

There are simple generalisations, but too many exceptions.  Prepositions as so nit-picky! 'At' for example can refer to place or time but tends to be a specific point.  There are many examples and questions here, just search for 'prepositions'  老鬼

In general:
At = 在
in = 里/在...里
With = 跟
For =为

Some of those words are verbs in Chinese, but prepositions.

If ou think that both 'in' and 'at' apply, say 'in'.

With and for are only  rough equivalents to the Chinese  versions.

By is a bit more tricky, and has many uses. I'll let someone else explain that.
