Why does 尽量 have 2 pronunciations?
Why does 尽量 have 2 pronunciations, jìnliàng and jǐnliàng? The meaning seems almost identical me. What is the difference between the 2?
In this sentence which pronunciation should I use? 晚饭桌上，德思礼太太向他讲述了邻居家的母女矛盾，还说达力又学会一个新词(“绝不”)，德思礼先生也尽量表现得正常。

nita998710的回答没错。因为你不懂繁体字的原故，所以在这补充一下。 「盡 」以及「儘」的简体字都是「尽」。而「盡量 jìn liàng」和「儘量 jǐn liàng」的意思是有分别的。 可参考：http://xh.5156edu.com/html3/7402.html

盡量 jin4 liang4 = 儘量 jin3 liang4

jǐn（to try) 尽管 and 尽量 only these two words use the pronunciation jǐn.
jìn (be used up / all) use this pronunciation in other words
