How long "in an while" ?
I think that "in a while" means a delay for a short time, is it right ?

It could mean any length of time. You can say "I'll be ready in a short while," but usually it's used to imply a longer amount of time, for example, "the project is due in a while." But, again, a "while" is relative. How long of a time it is depends on the speaker.
