What is the difference between "immer" and "ewig"?
What is the difference between "immer" and "ewig"? For example is there any difference in meaning between "auf immer" and "auf ewig"?

"Immer" is used in the context of "always." For example: "Für immer jung." (Forever/always young)
While "ewig" means forever, and should be used like this: "ein ewiges Einerlei" (An eternal monotony). This can be confusing however, as you use the two together sometimes (Für immer und ewig; Forever and always.) It's all about context, and the two words are basically the same. I hope this helps you a bit!
