What's the differences between "church" and "cathedral"?
There is a sentence in our textbook"Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the most famous churches in the world"

A church is a place of worship. In Western Europe, a church may be a simple building comprising only one room. There are many churches.
In the major cities, some churches which had large congregations of worshippers and were located in rich areas became very large, elaborate stone structures. These very large (huge) structures are cathedrals.
So all cathedrals are churches, but not all churches are cathedrals.
