自動車 means an automobile or automobiles, and it can be used in a casual way and a formal way. 車 means something has wheels. It sounds a little casual when you mean an automobile. 熱が出て、ふらふらする。気持ちがまだふらふらしている。街をふらふらと歩き回る。
