How should I go about learning pronunciation for French?
I have a pretty good idea at what I'm doing when I read or write [or so I like to think], but I'm horrid at understanding people and speaking the language. =[ Any hints?

If you like movies and I'm pretty sure you do, you should try renting DVDs. Watch them in French with English subtitles, it helps a LOT with the pronunciation and getting used to the accent(s). It's also very good for vocabulary and common expressions.

everything is on the alphabet. how do we prononce it.
A sounds like= ah (in english prononciation)
E sounds like= uh.
H sounds like= ash
I sounds like = E
Y sound like= e-grak (thats a weird letter i know lol)
Z= Zed (thats also how english canadian say the letter z)
others letters like: B,C, D, G, J, P, Q, T, V, W, sounds like Bey, Cey, Dey ect... (exepted for W, it's dooble-vey or something like that XD)

Podcasts could help. Also, at school, you could ask a French teacher for some help, even if you don't take it in school.

Yeah. Movies can help too.
But I forgot the letter X, kind of same thing in French and with the acutes XD
é sounds like= hey
è and ê sounds pretty much the same, like "eh" in english (lol yeah, like english canadian always says)
à= a in french
We use others acutes but rarely
