What is the difference between "schützen" and "beschützen"?
Can you guys give me some example?
Ich kann dich beschützen. Why not schützen?

beschützen: to take care of - Thus: Ich kann dich beschützen . = Ich kann auf dich aufpassen. > I can take care of you.
You could say: Ich kann dich schützen - but beschützen is stronger here, because it has the meaning of "take care"
BUT: Ein warmer Pullover schützt den Wanderer vor Kälte. - Here, schützen has the meaning of protect
