The correct spelling is "speech". The phrase for an activity is "go (verb)ing". They are going fishing tomorrow, or, they are going to go fishing tomorrow. The difference depends on how concrete the plans are. Now we have a small problem. Is the "tomorrow" in the direct and reported sentences the same day? Think about how much later the speech is reported. "They said that they were going fishing the next day." This is technically correct, especially if you are reporting what they said several days later or more. If you're still struggling with this form, don't confuse yourself with unclear examples.

You can say either "They said that they will go fishing tomorrow." Or "They said that they are going fishing tomorrow." But you don't use the word "a" after "going".

They are going fishing tomorrow. Reported speech: They said that they will go fishing tomorrow. Is this reported speech sentence correct? Hi Dany, Great job. Just one small error in the sentence and the reported speech. You can't say "they are going to fishing tomorrow" Instead you could say one of the following: They are going fishing tomorrow They are going to fish tomorrow. They are going to go fishing tomorrow. the reported speech would follow the same guidelines. Good job and keep up the good work! Alex
