Dear Shaun, I haven't heard from you since I lost my job. I've tried to CALL/REACH you but you don't answer MY CALLS NOR MY EMAILS. EveryONE believes/THINKS I was the one stealing laptops(?). Now I think I made a big mistake. If I *hadn't been working* late that evening, I *wouldn't have seen* you stealing the laptops. I *might have spoken/TALKED* to you first if the boss *hadn't asked* TO DO SOMETHING ELSE early the next morning. I *would have told* him it was you (YOU WERE THE THIEF) if you *wERE NOT* such a close friend. Unfortunately, the/MY boss knew I was hiding something and sacked/FIRED me. If I *were* a better liar I *might/WOULD not have lost* my job. I have one question for you: if you *had known* that I was going to get fired, *would you have told* the truth - that you were the thief? Nick ____ GREAT JOB. :)
