1. In this sentence, 'agitating' is equivalent 'protesting' 2. Yes, if there is a military presence it means that there are troops there. 3. 'Get off on something' is a very colloquial - almost vulgar - expression to mean to get personal pleasure or satisfaction from something. It's similar to 'get a kick/get a buzz' from something. I can't think of any other meanings that 'get off on' would have.

1) This the correct use of agitate in this sentence. B) Again, you are correct. 2) You are right again. "I get off on rock and roll music." means I enjoy it. Truly, "to get off" is more of an American slang term referring to enjoyment by self sexual pleasure. Sorry, but that is more of the truth. Hope this helps. Overall, you are doing great.

The word 'agitating' has been used correctly here. People don't want military presence in their area. Get off means to leave. eg.get off the bus, which means leave this bus. Don't board this bus. Hope I've clarified it.
