I agree with Dan that 'career prospectus' doesn't really mean anything, and I also agree with his guess that the phrase you probably heard was 'career prospects' - the chances of getting a good job. A 'prospectus' is a kind of brochure or booklet with information about courses.

I don't know. By any chance do you mean "career prospects," no "U?" "Career prospects" means "the chances of getting a good job." The career prospects for graduates with engineering degrees are good; for anthropology, not as good."
