Letter writing in Chinese
When writing a letter to a person with whom you are familiar, how do you address it and finish it usually in Chinese?

(For example in English we'd start "Dear Harold......From Madge", "To Hugo...from Jack" or "Dear Joyce....Love From Penny", or even "Dearest Margaret....With love from Derek").

Answer

Normally to me i'd just start with that person's name and finish it with my name and the date.
(only if you're familiar with each other, as in like your close friends)
But there's still some formal ways to start/finish the letter, it's just that you don't get to use them very often unless you're writing some kinds of important/official/regular stuff :)
