What is the meaning of "IC" or "JC" on Korean highway signs
I see this all the time on Korean highway signs. I follow signs to 구서 IC when going to a relative's house. I also see 원동 IC, and IC on MANY highway signs.
I had taken it to mean "Interchange," but when trying to look up its meaning, I see there are also "JC" highway signs. So now I have no idea.
Can someone please explain this to me? It doesn't seem to be necessary for me to drive, but it certainly might help explain a few things to me :). (Korean traffic is a big enough mystery without having things I don't understand on the road signs :) ).

IC(Interchange)는 나들목으로 명칭하며, 고속도로와 국도(지방도)가 만나는 곳입니다.
JC(Junction)는 분기점으로 고속도로와 고속도로가 만나는 곳입니다.
IC : highway <=> national highway, national road
JC : highway <=> highway
