You need to provide the context, because, for example, the medics could be performing a perfectly legitimate, gentle and professional autopsy on a death by accident so that the truth may emerge, or they could be doing perfectly beneficial scientific research.
The nature of the culture vultures also vary from country to country. In totalitarian countries they are normally backed by government. In free and liberal countries they are the bitchy art critics, academics, journalists and the art Establishment.
It is fun to play with translation, but my advice is:
1. Do not try to learn a language through translation;
2. Translation demands true bi-cultural understanding (not only language ability) from the translators;
3. Context is pivotal.
