They are both very different in size, colour, taste and use. Radis is small (cherry size), very strong flavour (it almost burn sometimes) and it's bright red with a white flesh. Very pretty. There both root vegetables, but the genus and species are different. The "radis" (English "radish") usually has a bright red skin, and a sharp taste, whereas the "nave" (English "turnip") is usually light brown and shaped like a large, ugly carrot.
