Insegnante professionistaWhat is the meaning of a phrase "you take me down"?
You take me down
Spin me around
You got me running all the lights
Don't make a sound
Talk to me now
Let me inside your mind
I don't know what you're thinking, sugar
But I just got that feeling, sugar
And I can hear the sirens burning
Red lights turning
I can't turn back now
So hold on tight
"Dangerous" is track #1 on the album Listen. It was written by Tuinfort, Giorgio / Guetta, David / Robbins, Lindy / Evigan, Jason / Martin, Sam.

It totally depends on the context. In this sense I would say that the song is talking about 'confusion' in some way. The singer is saying that the other person confuses them by doing odd things without explaining them fully, so 'You take me down' might have some meaning relating to that. But I don't know for sure.

I agree with Michael Chambers. Try to remember that song lyrics can be viewed as poetry. Not very precise and not necessarily the common usage.

I think he's basically trying to say she is in control. Even though he is the one driving, and seems in control, in reality she has the ability to make him do what she wants.

It doesn't have a clear meaning because the phrasal verb "take down" is not used on its own or in relation to people. Normal uses of "take down" I can think of are :
I must take down the Christmas decorations
I need to take down your name [for an official reason]
I'll take you down to the shops for a coffee, if you like [I am offering you a coffee] - down here is a normal preposition rather than the particle of a phrasal verb
The general sense of these lyrics, in my opinion, is that the other person has a big effect on the writer and makes him / her feel very emotional and a bit disoriented. It's not the highest quality English so I wouldn't try to make too much sense from it!

I answer in french!
Je pense que "you take me down" veut dire "tu m'entraînes" dans le sens "tu m'attires" comme une force viscérale. Un sentiment irrésistible voir dangereux, comme dans cette superbe chanson "So dangerous". Un sentiment amoureux qui vient de naître avec tous les mystères qui vont avec ;)
J'espère avoir vu juste?
