Autocorrect can be a friend because it corrects your spelling errors, but it can also be an enemy because sometimes it  selects the wrong word and changes the meaning of the sentence.

Susana answered it correctly.  To add to this.  If you allow auto correct to prepare your texts or facebook messages and do not check what was typed you can get into a lot of trouble as you may  want to say one thing and the autocorrect changes it totally   For example if you want to say have fun   It might come out with a very bad meaning.   So, if you rely on Auto correct, make sure you have checked it before sending the message.
