Like doing something Sometimes I have heard "I like to do something" instead of "I like doing something". Could you please help me to understand the difference? Thanks!

My American friends say "I like to do something", and some of my British friends too. When we learnt English at school, we always used "I like doing something". But they have the same meaning; there may be a slight difference, but it can be explained by telepathy better than words.

They're exactly the same. The only difference is personal preference.
