My favorite painter was the guy who painted my house. Just kidding. My favorite painter was Pablo Picasso because he was, in my opinion, a revolutionary who was on the cutting edge of art for nearly his entire life. He painted in so many styles during so many periods and influenced so many artists that it's impossible to catalog all of his achievements.

My good friend, who is much older than me, is my favorite painter. Paintings tell you about the soul of a person. What is going on in their heads and their hearts. It is a portrayal of thoughts, in many ways. I know this man very well and have talked to him for countless hours, he is very interesting. When I look at his paintings it gives me a view of a side of him that is too deep for him to talk to me about in words. It shows parts of him that he doesn't want to share with anyone but himself, and maybe his wife. Many famous painters paintings tell me something about myself, from what I see or beleive from the painitng, but I already know myself pretty well and don't really need that. I don't know those famous painters, so I cannot know too much about what their painting is saying about themselves. I haven't heard their fears, passions, hopes and dreams. I don't know them, so I don't know their paintings.
