In a sentence like this: "It's something nobody can escape" can you just leave it like this or you should add "from" - "nobody can escape from"?

If you extend the example:
The feeling of hopelessness is something nobody can escape.
or
Nobody can escape from the feeling of hopelessness.
Same meaning, essentially.
