How do I say "I want to be" in japanese?
I know that for "i want to.." when using verbs you just have to replace the last syllable to -tai, turning it into an -i adjective (ex: 食べたい, tabetai)
But since "desu" is mostly a politeness sufix, not a real verb, this rule wouldn't apply to it. How can I say it then?
