Are Urdu and Indian similar languages ? Since a long time I want to know the difference between these both languages ? Is the difference lies in the alphabet used ?

Salaam/Hi Hanane, yes Urdu and Hindi are similar languages. Here are the definitions of "Urdu" and "Hindi" respectively: - An Indic language closely related to Hindi but written in the Persian script and having many loanwords from Persian and Arabic. It is the official language of Pakistan, and is also widely used in India and elsewhere, with about 50 million speakers worldwide. - The most widely spoken language of northern India, with over 200 million speakers; one of the official languages of India. It is an Indic language derived from Sanskrit and is written in the Devanagari script.
