Were the definite and indefinite articles used correctly with the following uncountable nouns? DISAPPOINTMENT: 1. There was bitter disappointment when we arrived too late. 2. We arrived too late which was a bitter disappointment. KNOWLEDGE: 1. She has good practical knowledge. 2. He has a good practical knowledge of British law. 3. There's good practical knowledge of English in this school. SUPERIORITY: 1. They have intrinsic superiority. 2. This endows them with an intrinsic superiority over others. 3. There's intrinsic superiority over others among them. COMPETITION: 1. There's intense competition for the hospital market, and we must adjust our prices accordingly. 2. An intense competition caused by rising prices further is the last thing we need. 3. Rising prices further will result in the intense competition which we cannot handle.
