something I heard in Korean dramas Whenever somone says they're thankful for something I hear "thankyou very kamsahe". Are they actually speaking English? Why don't they say kansahamnida?

It's kind of fad words :) That means 'thank you' and you can say it to your friends! (not official words)

It is not English.. It's slang! we also say kansahamnida(감사합니다). "kamsahe" = "thank you" so, "thankyou very kamsahe" is "thank you very so much"
