If so, then can I transform it into something like this?
It is because of the smell lured animals.

No you can not say "smell lured animals".
This sentence structure doesn't exist in English, it does in German actually.
I bet in your native tongue Hungarian you use such expressions maybe ?
In English you certainly can't use it :)
