Could you explain why these are called 'snagless' and what meaning of 'snag' is used to form the word?

When something gets "snagged" that's when something like a hook or other sort of protrusion gets unwantingly caught on something.
These ethernet cables are called snagless because before the little snap handle thing, there is a ridge. When the cable is being pulled or moved that ridge will slide objects over the handle rather than into it, preventing them from snagging on it.
