How to translate "in the 20s" into Portuguese?
Hi! I'm translating a scientific article and the phrases I need to translate are:
"Mean BMI in the sample was 23.4 kg/m2 (mean weight 58.3 kg, mean height 157.7 cm), mean BMI in the 20s was 20.5 kg/m2 ..."
"and women gained an average of 7.3 kg between their 20s and the study screening."
I don't know how to translate properly "in the 20s" into FORMAL Portuguese. Any guess?
(In daily conversation i would say "com 20 e poucos anos", but I don't like this phrase for an article, what do you think?)
Thanks!
