Preterite and Imperfect tense of a verb Having read various articles on grammer, I was aware that certain words in sentences indicate whether the spanish verb should be in the preterite or impefect. An example given in one such article is that the word siempre indicates the use of the imperfect tense. However, I have just read a spanish book in which the following sentence appears with the word siempre and the verb in the preterite. Siempre quise reconstruir su planeador. Could someone explain to me whether siempre should be used with the Preterite and Imperfect tense of a verb Many thanks RichardI should have written "Could someone explain to me whether siempre should be used with the Preterite or Imperfect tense of a verb"

"Siempre" is not an indicator of whether the verb should be placed in the preterite form or the imperfect form because it can be used with both. Siempre iba a la escuela con mis primos Siempre fue una muy buena experiencia para mí.
