I think I've worked out what's going on here. These are dodgy translations from Spanish. 'Lateral table' means nothing in English. So I google-imaged 'mesa lateral' in Spanish and got lots of pictures of small tables - the kind of thing you might have at the side of a sofa to put a lamp or a drink on. I'm not sure what's happening with the Spandex - perhaps you're meant to stretch it over the table as a covering? Strange In Spanish 'otomana' is a low, padded seat, so yes - it's for sitting on.

This sounds like it was written by the same Asian who writes assembly and operation directions for appliances and the like that we buy here in America that are made in China! Absolutely indecipherable! :)

I agree with Susanne that lateral is weirdly phrased. However, I think it means they want the sides of the table to be wood. 2. Spandex is probably talking about the table cloth, but I have no idea why you would want spandex table cloth. 3. I think you can use the ottoman for siting, so you're probably right.

I'm going to be honest... I had no idea about 'lateral' but I looked it up at dictionary.com. I think, in this context, it means a side-table. I would never say 'lateral table' though. Perhaps it is British? It would be a small table that is positioned beside a sofa/couch. Spandex - I have no idea. This is only used in terms of clothing or fabric. I think this is a mistake. Perhaps they want a low table with a white plastic top? An ottoman is a footstool, usually padded and plush, in the USA. It can also be a low cushioned seat or sofa.
