'etwas anders' vs 'etwas anderes'
Which one is correct, and why?
I have also seen the following sentence:
'Du solltest still sein, während jemand anders redet'
when should I use 'anderes' instead of 'anders'?
Thankyou

With »jemand« both are possible: http://canoo.net/blog/2013/02/28/mit-jemandem-anderem-anders-anderes/
With »etwas« the difference is similar to English:
– You have to do something different (= something else). → Du musst etwas anderes machen.
– You have to do something differently (= in a different way). → Du musst etwas anders machen.
