What does "calling points" mean?
I am planning on traveling to the UK. I notice there are "calling points" in the railway system. Is that a type of station or something?http://pic.qyer.com/album/user/966/24/SE9TQB4CYA/index/1360x

ON the platforms, you will find a speaker in the walls of the station. There is a button next to it and if you press the button then you will be able to use the speaker to talk to a staff member. These are used to do things such as find out when your next train is, on occasions where the display board is not working.
